Yesterday while at Minnekhada Regional Park [link] I had the pleasure of watching this beaver feasting on lily pads and tubers, rolling them like cigars to eat them.
He never rose above the water, just kept on swimming while munching.

From WikiAnswers: The Beaver was made Canada's national symbol in 1975. The beaver was the primary fur traded and trapped by the Hudson Bay Company, and was also shown on Canada's first postage stamp.
